COURSE OVERVIEW
The WSQ Advanced Certificate in Infant Care (WSQ HCIC) is an essential professional qualification for those working in the care of infants and young children aged 2 to 18 months. In this course, students will learn the knowledge and skills of infant and child care cultivation, and carry out corresponding cultivation practices in a heuristic educational environment.

COURSE PURPOSE
After completing the course, students will be able to:

  • In-depth understanding of child development theory and practice
  • Master the ability to put theory into practice
  • Design and implement targeted nurturing courses based on the developmental needs and cultural background of infants and young children aged 2 to 18 months.
  • Master the ability to promote effective development and learning of infants and young children of different ages
  • Have the comprehensive ability to cooperate with key relevant personnel to jointly promote the comprehensive development of infants and young children
  • Plan your own career development to promote personal growth

Entry Requirements

Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have:

  • Graduated from at least the second grade of secondary school; or
  • Complete 8 years of formal education and
  • Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) Level 4 or other Chinese language scores recognized by ECDA and Chinese Proficiency Speaking Test (HSKK) Advanced Level

Modules

The course has a total of 7 units and a total of 300 hours, of which 180 hours are taught in schools and 120 hours are practiced in child care centers. The part-time course takes 8 months and the full-time course can be completed in 4 months.
