Description

MOTION DESIGN IS THE FUTURE OF VISUAL COMMUNICATION.
Today, most of our media interactions occur on screen. In order to captivate a new generation of audiences, advertising agencies, broadcast studios and designers increasingly incorporate motion in their designs.

To be a good motion designer, you have to master various skillsets such as graphic design, animation, concept design, storyboarding, typography, composition, video production, art direction and cinematography. Our program aims to train students in these skills and prepare a new generation of visual designers.

Overview:

  • Graduate with a Diploma in Motion Design conferred by 3dsense Media School
  • 12-month full-time curriculum
  • Open to local and international students above 16 years old
  • Learn the principles of 2D and 3D design, and apply it in the context of moving visuals
  • In-depth training in industry tools such as Cinema 4D and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Study in a studio-simulated environment

Entry Requirements

  • Applicants must be above 16 and completed 'O' Levels or equivalent, including English.
  • Applicants must also submit a portfolio and pass an interview.

Modules

TERM 1

Students will begin training on design fundamentals, such as typography, composition, layout, color, digital imaging and design theories. Students will also learn basics in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Cinema 4D.

TERM 2

Simulating real-world scenarios, students will learn to execute 2D & 3D projects based on 'client' briefs. Students will be expected to conduct research, conceptualize ideas, create style frames, animate and polish the final works.

TERM 3

In this final term, students will work on more advanced projects, such as product commercials and show promos. At the end of the course, students will prepare and graduate with a showreel, which is a key requirement for getting hired!
