Programme Introduction
Product development and innovation are the lifeblood of all businesses. To be at the forefront in today’s tech-savvy world, the Master of Business Administration (Product Development Management) degree is fundamental for product development managers to master the development concepts and devise the “next big thing” to drive sales figures in the competitive business market.
For successful completion of this programme, it is mandatory for students to complete seven compulsory core modules together with a final dissertation. The core modules equip students with the exceptional knowledge and skill-sets to manage and demonstrate the understanding of product design as well as development methodologies, technologies and processes.
Upon completion, qualified students will be awarded with the Master of Business Administration (Product Development Management) degree by Cardiff Metropolitan University. Graduates can seek to become a product development manager and get the opportunity to work with market researchers to assess consumer gaps in the marketplace.

Entry Requirements
Academic Level:
One of the following must be fulfilled:
- A degree from a recognised university with a minimum of a 2:2 classification;
- Hold a professional or other qualification which is deemed as acceptable for admission by Cardiff Metropolitan University and have held a responsible position for a minimum of 5 years.
Selection for this course is through an application form and, where necessary, an interview.
English Proficiency: Applicants must have an IELTS score of at least 6.0 or pass the Certificate in Academic English Level 6 conducted by DIMENSIONS or pass the English Proficiency Test at equivalent level conducted by DIMENSIONS or its equivalent. English proficiency may be considered to have been met and an IELTS score may not be required if applicant possesses a highest qualification where English was the sole medium of instruction.
Career Opportunities
Students may consider progressing to a Doctoral degree of relevant discipline in any Universities subject to their acceptance.
