Description

Programme Objectives

The mission of the MBA programme at the University of Central Oklahoma is to provide a unique learning experience that will give each graduate the managerial and leadership skills to be productive, creative, ethical, and engaged, excelling in everyday decision-making in varied business environments.

This programme is designed for students who desire broad preparation for managerial positions. All courses are delivered online, allowing for flexible learning. The curriculum includes a variety of electives that encourage students to focus on areas of interest that benefit their career. The student will learn to combine the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to manage today’s businesses.

Entry Requirements

  1. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree at 2.75 GPA on 4.0 scale ^
  2. Minimum GMAT overall score at 450; OR Minimum GRE overall score at 300 ^^
  3. Other Requirements:
    • Submit a 500-word personal statement
    • Current Resume

English Language Requirement

Applicants are required to possess one of the following:

  • TOEFL Internet based test 79 overall score / Paper based test 550 overall score
  • IELTS 6.5 overall band
  • or University approved Equivalent

Note: All applications are subject to UCO Graduate College approval.

^ Students are eligible to submit proof of a bachelor’s degree from any country, and a third-party credential evaluation is not necessary. For every prospective graduate student, the UCO Graduate College will review the bachelor’s degree transcript and convert the grade of each individual subject into an equivalent subject score at the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO). Those subject scores are then used to calculate an overall degree GPA on a 4.0 scale at UCO. This UCO GPA will be the GPA used in the admission decision. If trying to gauge a rough equivalent of the approximate qualification of a student coming from the British system, a student with a UK Bachelor’s degree that has achieved Second Class Honours Lower Division (or Bachelor (Hons) Degree at 2:2) would likely be meeting the UCO GPA standard.

^^ Candidates without a relevant GRE / GMAT score may also be considered on the basis of passing in the virtual interview conducted by the UCO College of Business along with the other admission requirements. UCO recommends applicants to have 2-3 years industry working experience.
