Course Information
Description
The Master of Business Administration in Aviation degree program is designed to emphasize the application of modern business concepts, methods, and tools to the challenges of aviation and business. The special intricacies of aviation are woven into a strong, traditional business foundation by combining a specific core of distinct business competencies with a strong aviation foundation.
The MBAA has three cores:
- The first focus on high-reliability organizations (HRO). High reliability organizations focus on risk, managing risk and resiliency. Concepts from these courses can be applied to all organizations.
- The second is the business core which is structured based on input from the industry to provide students with the skills necessary to advance their careers into managing functional departments and above.
- The third is a focus on international business. As the aviation industry is truly global, a strong understanding of international business is critical to the MBA in Aviation.
