Course Information
Description
This programme will equip students with fundamental knowledge and professional skills in information technology to prepare them for work and further studies in several areas of interest related to IT.
Students will learn about software programming, computing and information systems, database structures and technologies for web and computer networks.
Award
Candidates who successfully complete all course work and pass the examinations will be awarded with the International Foundation Diploma in Information Technology from MDIS.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must be of age 14 and above and must possess ONE of the following entrance requirements:
- At least 1 GCE 'O' Level Pass*
- NITEC / Higher NITEC qualification
- International applicants must have completed 10 years of foreign formal education
- Mature candidates (≥30 years old with 8 years relevant work experience)
- At least 1 ‘IGCSE’ Level Pass
English Language Requirements
Applicants are required to possess one of the following:
- C6 pass in English at GCE ‘O’ level or equivalent
- Achieve a minimum band of 5.5 in IELTS or equivalent
- A Pass the MDIS English Entrance Test (EET)
- MDIS Professional Certificate in English
- 1 IGCSE Level Pass (either English 1st or 2nd language)
- Online English Placement Test conducted by MDIS
- Achieve a minimum score of 85 and above in Duolingo English Test
