The Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling is a stimulating, rigorous, and practical course designed for working professionals to cultivate a deeper understanding of psychology and psychotherapy while developing pragmatic counselling skills. Aimed to assist students with little to no knowledge in psychology, psychotherapy, and counselling, this engaging Graduate Diploma programme in Singapore provides students with relevant, foundational learning that requires critical analysis and discussion in concepts as well as ideas.

Students in this Graduate Diploma course will be equipped with the following

  • Gain an understanding of the fundamental theories and skills of psychotherapy, including but not limited to professionalism as well as ethical guidelines of being a therapist.
  • Establish a link between social theory and practice, as well as comprehend how various sociological concepts and paradigms have an effect on contemporary social issues.
  • Become proficient in the ethical codes of counselling, practicing within the guidelines, and ultimately achieve competence.

Entry Requirements

Students will be encouraged and are expected to contribute to the class learning experience in a peer and cohort learning environment. As a student at Aventis, you will be assessed based on your aptitude, potential, experience, and managerial skills.

At least 21 years old with a Degree in any discipline

OR

Mature Candidates (at least 30 years old) with minimum 8 years of work experience will be assessed through an interview and an admissions test
