Course Overview
The Foundation Diploma in Business (Mandarin) programme imparts the knowledge of the fundamental theories and concepts of business to students. Learners will be able to master study skills, improve self-confidence, and eliminate learning obstacles. Skills that are acquired can be applied in a range of situation and contexts, including functional areas of organisation such as, Projects, Accounting and Statistics. Leadership, motivational theories, integrating of subject knowledge and the ability to arrive at sound-decision for case studies in a business scenario will be further inculcated to them.
Upon completion of this course, graduates will be able to:
- Display an integrated knowledge of the scope and breadth of the subject domain
- Demonstrate effective communication and presentation skills
- Describe, synthesize, interpret, analyse and evaluate information and date relevant to a professional
- Able to critically analyse and evaluate and synthesise information on methods for business communication
- Solve and analyse problems scientifically
- Exercise managerial skills, demonstrate problem solving skills

Applicants must be 16 years and above
Academic and Working Requirements
Completed Secondary Education or Year 9 or
Any of the following:
Obtained at least a Pass in any one of the following:
- Obtain at least a C6 at GCE O level in any 1 subject
- NITEC or Higher NITEC
Language Requirement
At least a Grade C6 in Chinese at GCE “O” Level or A pass in Chinese Language in Year 10
Mature Candidates
≥ 30 years old with 8 years of work experience
