Description
Course Overview
The Foundation Diploma for Tertiary Studies (FDTS) programme is developed to prepare students for higher education. The programme provides the necessary theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in multi-disciplinary studies to prepare students for different disciplines in the next level of studies.
Upon completion of this course, students may progress to our Higher Diploma courses.

Age Requirement
16 years old
Academic and Working Requirements
Obtained at least a Pass in any one of the following:
- Obtained at least a C6 at GCE O level in any 1 subject
- NITEC or Higher NITEC
- Integrated Programme (1 passes at a level equivalent to Secondary 4)
- TMC Certificate in Tertiary Foundation Programme
Mature Candidates
≥ 30 years old with 8 years of work experience
English Qualification
If English is not your first language, you will be required to have any of the following or equivalent:
- At least a C6 at GCE O Level English
- Completed TMC Certificate in Tertiary Foundation Programme
- Completed a prior Diploma where medium of instruction is English
- Pass an English online test and an interview with the Dean/HOD/designate

- Completed Secondary Education or Year 9
English Qualification
If English is not your first language, you will be required to have any of the following or equivalent:
- IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL (Paper) ≥ 525 or, TOEFL (Computer) ≥ 195 or, TOEFL (Internet) ≥ 70 or, TOEIC ≥ 750
- Completed TMC Certificate in Tertiary Foundation Programme
- Completed a prior Diploma where the medium of instruction is English
- Attend and pass Certificate in English up to Upper Intermediate A level
- Attend and pass EAP Level 3
Mature Candidates
- ≥ 30 years old with 8 years of work experience
