Course Overview
The 9-month Foundation program provides the necessary thorough groundwork for beginners in the Digital Arts.
The Art and Technology Foundation courses ensure that students are confident in basic principles of Digital Art before moving on to diplomacy and degrees. Industry-leading educators and mentors guide participants through in-depth modules by assessing assignments, projects, and hands-on experiences with the coursework. Upon completion, students will have the assets to designate a suitable career path in digital art and media.
Entry Requirements
Minimum Entry Requirements
- 2 credit passes at GCE ‘N’ Level in any subjects excluding English.
- Or At least 2 WSQ Statements of Attainment in Workplace Literacy or Numeracy (WPLN) at Level 2 or 3 (Ex: under Employability Skills System (ESS) certification)
- Or Basic vocational certificate (including ITE Basic Vocational Training)
- For International Applicants should have an Equivalent to Year 10** qualification (** from the respective home country of the applicant) with proof of pass in English
- Alternate Admission Requirements
- Submit Portfolio and pass the interview with Academic Director approved by Academic Board
- IELTS 5.0 or Pass in English Language at GCE ‘N’ Level or equivalent qualifications.
- Applicants who do not have IELTS 5.0 – must pass MAGES English Proficiency Test; approved by Academic Board
Age Requirements – 16 years
Mature Experience Requirement
- Age Requirement – 30 years
- Working Experience – 8 years of work experience

Modules
TERM 01
DEVELOP FUNDAMENTALS
In the first term, students will learn the fundamentals of reading, writing, and speaking in an academic setting. Although often underutilized, acquiring strength in these areas will carry students through the rest of their educational pursuits.
TERM 02
BUILD ON YOUR SKILLS
Creative Concept Development will be introduced in the second term as students lay the groundwork for a future as technological creators and problem-solvers. Participants will learn practical applications of creativity and how to use it in a consumer-driven workplace. Students will also start to build their skillset as they learn techniques in composition, drawing, and digital design through modern digital software.
TERM 03
PORTFOLIO
The last portion of the course will grant a Certificate in Technology as participants learn mathematical principles for gaming and immerse themselves in the developmental tools used in the industry. A basic understanding of programming will also be introduced through programming languages like Python. Students will gain proficiency not only in designing and strategizing interactive game interfaces but in building simple applications for them as well.
