Description

Programme Introduction
Ever intrigued by the human mind and its unfathomable mysteries? The Diploma in Psychology is designed to equip students with the fundamental skillsets and techniques to uncover individuals’ thought patterns. An interesting field to pursue, this program aims to develop their understanding on major topics involving human emotions and motivations on a deeper level. In this course of study, students can effectively prepare themselves for both work and further studies at an applied level.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be awarded with the Diploma in Psychology by DIMENSIONS International College. This certification opens doors to a wide range of career opportunities ranging from psychology assistants, research assistant to human resource executive. Alternatively, students can further their academic qualification with an Advanced Diploma in Psychology offered at DIMENSIONS.

Objective

  • To introduce students to the field of psychology and enable them to effectively identify diverse behavioural and mental processes.
  • To equip students with the insights into how social psychological thinking has developed across time and how social psychology contributes to the understanding of human behaviour.

  • O-Level graduates who possess the interest and aptitude to discover the scientific study and motives behind human actions and interactions.
  • Working personnel who are looking to acquire techniques to excel in the industry.

Entry Requirements

Local students

GCE ‘A’ level with at least 1 subject pass or DIMENSIONS Business Foundation or other private Foundation Certificate (with equivalent entry requirements as Foundation Diploma in Business and subject to approval).

International students

Equivalent to Year 12 from the respective home country of the applicant.

 

Note: Applicants with non-standard entry qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis

 

English Proficiency: At least IELTS 5.5 or CAE Level 4 or pass the English Proficiency Test at equivalent level conducted by DIMENSIONS. English proficiency may be considered to have been met and an IELTS score may not be required if applicant possesses a highest qualification where English was the sole medium of instruction.

Career Opportunities

Students may consider taking up an Advanced Diploma in Psychology before pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree.
