Course Information
Description
This Diploma in Media and Communications course is designed to immerse students in the world of mass communications, journalism, and social media. Students will learn to apply concepts and practical knowledge in mass communications that are relevant to the industry.
As a benefit, students automatically become members of the Student Chapter of Institute of Public Relations of Singapore (IPRS). Student members get to experience industry visits and IPRS hosted events on an annual basis.
In partnership with Nas Academy (the training and development arm of social creator Nas Daily), a new social media pathway has been created. Students who select this pathway will learn content creation skills from Nas Academy trainers and receive an e-Certificate from Nas Academy upon graduation.
Upon completion of this course, students may further their studies with a degree from our university partners (subject to the university’s entry requirements).

Entry Requirements
Local Qualifications
- 2 GCE ‘A’ Levels; OR
- PSB Academy Certificate in Business Management; OR
- PSB Academy Certificate in Media and Communications; OR
- Mature candidates (≥30 years old with 8 years work experience); OR
- Candidates with other qualifications will be considered as case-by-case basis
Minimum Age Requirement
- 16 years old
English Language Requirement
- GCE ‘O’ level English (grade 1 to 6); OR
- IELTS score of 5.5; OR
- PSB Academy’s Certificate in English Proficiency programme; OR
- PSB Academy English Proficiency Test; OR
- An equivalent English language qualification

*Students will get to enjoy working with the latest Radio and TV rooms equipment under the supervision of lecturers with industry experience. The purposeful design of the studios and integration into our curriculum provide practical preparation for our students’ future careers.
**Modules under elective path 2 are in collaboration with NAS Academy. Upon successful completion, students will receive an additional
e-certificate conferred by NAS Academy.
