Course Overview
The Diploma in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering is to provide significant knowledge and training to students who may be deployed in any field that demands the use of both mechanical and electrical expertise. The skills can be useful in areas of design, improvement and maintenance of machine or mechanisms that involves mechanical and electrical components. These skills can also be useful in new challenging areas for innovative engineering. Combined knowledge in both the mechanical and electrical engineering fields is also important for other extended and multi-disciplinary work such as, hybrid petrol/electric vehicles, robotic systems, mechatronics and sustainable technology. This programme covers the topics of Engineering Mathematics, Engineering science, Introduction to Mechanical Engineering Principles, Fundamentals of Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics, Introduction to Electrical Engineering Principles, Principles of Electronics, Strength of Materials and M&E Equipment. These modules are essential in understanding the foundation of design and operations, in Mechanical and Electrical engineering career.

Entry Requirements
- Minimum 3 ‘O’ Level or equivalent qualifications, including English and any 2 Science subjects (or)
- International secondary level qualifications with English, Mathematics and Science (or)
- Mature-aged students with more than 3 years of relevant working experience will be considered (or)
- Other Candidates with industry experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis
