Course Overview
The TaF.tc Diploma in Fashion Business is a must for those who are interested to enter a career in the fashion industry, or for practitioners who wish to upgrade their skills. This programme will focus on two areas: Merchandising – which encompasses in-depth product knowledge on fabric, design, product development, apparel production, and quality control; and secondly, Marketing – which covers retail merchandise buying, branding, creating a sustainable value chain, as well as the critical skill of the Art of Follow-Up, which helps to ensure that you will source, produce and deliver the final product in-store, on-time. Entry Requirements
Singaporean or Singapore PR
- Aged 16 years and above
- Possess at least 3 GCE “O” level credits with a minimum of C6 including English and Mathematics or ES WSQ Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) level 5 and above or WSQ Advanced Certificate in Fashion Technology or TaF.tc's Advanced Certificate
- Students are required to have basic computing skills i.e. turn on the laptop, use the mouse, drag and drop files, use online search engine for research; and be a competent user of Microsoft Office.
Graduation
To graduate, you must fulfil the following requirements
- 75% attendance rate of total training hours per module
- Be found competent during written, practical and oral assessments
International Students
To enrol, you must fulfil the following requirements
- Aged 16 years and above
- High School Diploma equivalent to GCE 'O' Levels with minimum grade C6 for 3 subjects, including English and Mathematics OR Qualifications from professional institutes may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Pass TaF.tc Entrance Test
- English requirement: IELTS score 5.5 or TOEFL IBT 46
- Students are required to have basic computing skills i.e. turn on the laptop, use the mouse, drag and drop files, use online search engine for research; and be a competent user of Microsoft Office.
Graduation
To enrol, you must fulfil the following requirements
- 75% attendance rate of total training hours per module. Student pass holders - A minimum of 90% attendance per month will be required
- Be found competent during written, practical and oral assessments
