Description

Designed for students who aspire to develop essential business skills and apply them confidently before entering the corporate world.

The Diploma in Applied AI is designed for individuals who want to gain a solid foundation in artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics. This course will provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to apply AI and analytics techniques in various domains. The course also provides a solid foundation in AI and analytics technologies and their applications. Upon completion of this course, students will have the skills and knowledge needed to apply AI and analytics techniques in various domains.

Entry Requirements

Age Requirements: At least 17 years old.

Academic Requirements: At least 2 Passes in GCE ‘A’ levels; Year 11 High School or equivalent; Existing Diploma from a polytechnic in Singapore; Existing Diploma from other Private Education Institutes or Other foreign qualifications shall be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Language Proficiency: Minimum of Band 5.5 IELTS; PTE score of 36; Duolingo score of 85-90; TOEFL score of 46; Letter from College/University stating the medium of instruction of the highest qualification obtained to be in English; C6 pass in English GCE ‘O’ level or equivalent.

Fundamentals of Software Engineering

Understand Fundamental Concepts of Software Engineering: Students will be able to explain the key principles and practices of software engineering. This includes understanding the software development lifecycle, different software development methodologies (like Waterfall, Agile, etc.), requirements engineering, and software architecture and design. They should also be able to identify and discuss the ethical considerations in software engineering.

Database Development

Understand Basic Database Concepts: Students will be able to explain and apply key principles of database systems. This includes understanding data models, database design principles, normalization, transaction management, and the role of databases in software applications. They should also appreciate the importance of data integrity, security, and privacy.

Mode of Delivery: The programme consists of 10 modules and may be completed after 8 months of lessons.

Full-Time: Lessons will commence 5 days a week for a maximum of 3 hours per day with a total of 520 learning hours. Mode of delivery is blended.

Part-Time: Lessons will commence 3 days on weekdays for a maximum of 3 hours and on weekends for a maximum of 6 hours per day with a total of 520 learning hours. Mode of delivery is blended.

Assessment Method: Examination and projects.

Graduation Requirements: Minimum of 50% pass in all modules.

Duration: 8 months (Full-time and Part-Time).
