Course overview
The Certificate in Hospitality Skills awarded by LSBF in Singapore is designed to provide students with a basic foundation for further studies towards a career in the Hospitality Industry. The modules are designed to address key areas for students entering the industry and are a mix of both theoretical and practical skills. The qualification also acts as a progression route towards the LSBF Diploma in International Hospitality Management.
The aims of this programme are to:
- Provide students with specialised language for Hospitality Management
- Enable students to communicate more effectively
- Enable students to develop an appreciation and understanding of the basic principles and practices of food and beverage service
- Enable students to develop an appreciation and understanding of the basic principles and practices of hotel housekeeping
- Prepare students for further studies
Entry Requirements
- Minimum age 17 years at time of commencement of programme;
- Mn of 3 GEC ‘O’ levels (C6 or better) or equivalent;
- IELTS 4.5 or equivalent
Students, who have other qualifications, will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
