Description
Programme Objectives
The overall aims of the programme are to:
- Produce graduates who are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the rapidly changing discipline of cybersecurity and networks, and appreciate its growing impact on modern living.
- Produce graduates who will uphold the legal, ethical and professional standards expected of a cybersecurity and networks specialist.
- Enable students to acquire a range of practical, professional and transferable skills to equip them to contribute to their chosen profession in cybersecurity or computer networks, or to pursue further studies.
- Enable students to engage with current research issues to consolidate their knowledge base and understanding of currently available technologies and emerging trends in cybersecurity and computer networks.
- Develop students’ cognitive and critical reflection skills to equip them for enterprise, employment and further academic research.
- Provide an industry and commercially relevant web production education for students from a variety of subject backgrounds and/or employment experience utilising appropriate modes of study.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must be of age 17 and above and must possess ONE of the following entrance requirements:
For Year 1 entry
- MDIS International Foundation Diploma in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Art OR
- At least two GCE 'A' Levels OR
- Relevant foundation diploma qualifications in Information Technology related disciplines awarded by other Private Education Institutions (PEIs) (equivalent to pathway programme) with an entry requirement of 10 years of formal education OR
- MDIS International Foundation Diploma in Information Technology
For Year 2 entry
- MDIS Higher Diploma in Information Technology OR
- MDIS Higher Diploma in Ethical Hacking and Forensic Investigations Countermeasures OR
- MDIS Higher Diploma in Information Technology and Cybersecurity OR
- Relevant diploma level qualifications in Information Technology related disciplines awarded by other Private Education Institutions (PEIs) (equivalent to 1st year EDP) with an entry requirement of 12 years of formal education
For Year 3 entry
- Relevant local/overseas polytechnic diplomas in Information Technology related disciplines with an entry requirement of 10 years of formal education OR
- Higher National Diploma level qualifications in Information Technology related disciplines OR
- Relevant PEIs qualifications (equivalent to 1st and 2nd year EDP) in areas related to Information Technology with entry requirement of 12 years of formal education
English Language Requirements
Applicants are required to possess one of the following:
- C6 in English at GCE 'O' Levels OR
- IELTS 6.0 (with no elements lower than 5.5) OR
- MDIS Professional Certificate in English OR
- Pass MDIS English Placement Test OR
- Equivalent
