Description

The course focuses on the demands of the modern engineering workplace encompassing the main engineering disciplines. This will reflect contemporary practices, with an emphasis on practical skills and student employability. High levels of support are a cornerstone of the course and you will work on diverse realistic projects throughout your final year.

With the pace of technological development, engineering should be considered as applied problem-solving. Integrating the different technologies at the heart of modern engineering, this course aims to provide a grounding in a variety of different engineering disciplines before developing skills in accessing information, converting it into knowledge and applying and evaluating it.

Entry Requirements

Local Qualifications

Entry via Year 1

  • GCE A Levels (Minimum 2 A-level passes with one from a Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent subject) or equivalent qualifications; OR
  • Mature candidates (30 years and above with 8 years working experience)

Entry via Year 2

  • Polytechnic diploma or equivalent qualifications in relevant areas of engineering; OR
  • PSB Academy Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, pathway in Electro-Mechanical Engineering; OR
  • Applicants holding other diploma-level qualifications will be assessed on a case by case basis

Minimum Age Requirement

  • 18 years old

English Language Requirement

  • English Language at GCE ‘O’ levels at grade C or above; OR
  • Applicants should either possess a diploma from a recognized institution where English is the sole medium of instruction; OR
  • IELTS of 6.0 in overall; OR
  • Completion of PSB Academy’s Certificate in Academic English
