Course Overview
Introducing AlterAround, a brand new alteration service proudly developed by TaF.tc!
Our sewing graduates are now providing alteration services right from their homes.
TaF.tc has already set up a web application to assist locals discovering nearby alteration shops. This smart program also matches them with the closest alteration personnel.
Through a collaboration with our sewing vendor, we are excited to introduce a loan cum purchase program (sponsored by a third paty). This initiative equips aspiring business owners with sewing machines, to assist in their alteration journey!

TaF.tc's Sewing Alteration Project - AlterAround
- Sewing Tool Kit will be sponsored by SMH Crafts and it can only be provided for students who have not done TaF.tc's Basic Drafting & Sewing
- Students will be required to collect their Sewing Tool Kit from Sing Mui Heng's store (101, Upper Cross Street, #01-36, People's Park Centre, Singapore 058357. Operating Hours: 11 AM - 7 PM, Monday to Saturday. Closed on Public Holidays & Sundays)
Entry Requirements
Singaporean or Singapore PR
- Aged 16 years and above
- Possess at least 3 GCE “O” level credits with a minimum of C6 including English and Mathematics or ES WSQ Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) level 5 and above or WSQ Advanced Certificate in Fashion Technology or TaF.tc's Advanced Certificate
- Students are required to have basic computing skills i.e. turn on the laptop, use the mouse, drag and drop files, use online search engine for research; and be a competent user of Microsoft Office.
Graduation
To graduate, you must fulfil the following requirements
- 75% attendance rate of total training hours per module
- Be found competent during written, practical and oral assessments
International Students
To enrol, you must fulfil the following requirements
- Aged 16 years and above
- High School Diploma equivalent to GCE 'O' Levels with minimum grade C6 for 3 subjects, including English and Mathematics OR Qualifications from professional institutes may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Pass TaF.tc Entrance Test
- English requirement: IELTS score 5.5 or TOEFL score 600
- Students are required to have basic computing skills i.e. turn on the laptop, use the mouse, drag and drop files, use online search engine for research; and be a competent user of Microsoft Office.
Graduation
To enrol, you must fulfil the following requirements
- 75% attendance rate of total training hours per module. Student pass holders - A minimum of 90% attendance per month will be required
- Be found competent during written, practical and oral assessments
