Programme Introduction
Limitless and powerful, the human mind is a tool for personal exploration and discovery. The Advanced Diploma in Psychology offers students in psychology-related fields an opportunity to further their psychological knowledge and critical thinking skills. In this discipline of study, students will demonstrate an extensive grasp of advanced research and specific methodology which constitutes the evaluation of research results, analysis, research planning and implementation, and the presentation and communication of research findings.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be awarded with the Advanced Diploma in Psychology by DIMENSIONS International College. This certification opens doors to a wide array of career prospects ranging from counsellor, school psychologist to social psychologist; it is your call!

Objective

  • To develop students with the comprehensive knowledge and skills to understand individual differences, personality disorders and problems assessing and classifying such disorders.
  • To equip students with the professional knowledge base to treat individuals with psychological complexities and disorders.

Entry Requirements

Academic Level:

Local students

Polytechnic Diploma or DIMENSIONS Psychology Diploma or other private Diploma (with equivalent entry requirements as Level 4 Diploma and subject to approval).

International students

Equivalent qualifications related to psychology from other countries (with equivalent entry requirements as Level 4 Diploma and subject to approval).

Note: Applicants with non-standard entry qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis

 

English Proficiency: At least IELTS 5.5 or CAE Level 4 or pass the English Proficiency Test at equivalent level conducted by DIMENSIONS. English proficiency may be considered to have been met and an IELTS score may not be required if applicant possesses a highest qualification where English was the sole medium of instruction.

Career Opportunities

Students may consider pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or other options within this field of study.
